Myiah Smothers

Myiah Smothers is a DKA-BR Science instructor with teaching experience that expands across her years of community service with local non-profit organizations supporting K-12 academic tutoring and as an Environmental Science and Biology teacher in New York, New York. Ms. Smothers is a graduate of Zachary High School, the flagship school of the Zachary Community School District, which has earned the ranking of #1 school district for academic performance in the State of Louisiana for more than ten consecutive years.  Myiah has a Bachelors in Kinesiology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Masters in Biomedical Science from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton, PA. Ms. Smothers has extensive knowledge in Biological Sciences and is creative in visual, auditory, and read/write instructional methods that align to students’ personal learning preferences.
